Pantry Service – Tuesday (for referrals and new registrants), Thursday & Saturday (for existing registrants) from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Our Pantry is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. We offer nutritious grocery bags filled with 45 pounds of fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, rice, beans and canned food. The groceries supplement the food supply for near homeless families, youth, seniors, disabled adults and those living in supportive housing. The Center is the primary source of food and nutrition for thousands of people whose diets otherwise would be significantly deficient.
Senior Service – Friday from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
In addition to food distribution, we offer the Senior Brown Bag Program, encompassing health education, prevention workshops and tax preparation. Our seniors come to the center for much more than food; they also come to socialize with their peers, nourishing their souls.
Resource Services – Tuesday – Friday from 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The resource specialist provides personalized support and advocacy to ensure guests’ needs are addressed and resolved. In many cases the resource specialist will be assisting people in short-term crisis such as unlawful eviction. Other services will include workshops to link guests to public benefits, affordable housing, affordable health care, job training programs and community organizing around a common concern. |
